Poster with event details.

This free-to-attend workshop is open to all Arts students, faculty, and members of our Montreal communities interested in diversifying their research citational practices.

To keep the discussion manageable and ensure the hands-on participation of attendees, the event is limited to a 40 people capacity, reserve your seat by getting your free ticket at

The event will feature a roundtable panel of experts from academic and community research backgrounds who will guide participants in the best ways to actively seek out and engage with research sources outside of Eurocentric literature. A workshop and practical exercises, guided by our experts, will focus on highlighting voices in research that have been historically underrepresented and will also address potential biases through audit exercises of our own libraries, syllabi, and research bibliographies.

The event will gather like-minded researchers and create a safe space to discuss critically how to avoid these pitfalls or call them out when they are witnessed.
