If you ever wanted to keep track of your changes in your coding of R and Python, a csv table or any other plain text documents, Git and GitHub are your friends. Join in on this version control workshop that allows you to get more control over the reproducibility of your work.
At the end of this workshop, you will be able to
听听听 > understand how to set up a Git account
听听听 > create repositories and track changes
听听听 > know how to use GitHub and collaborate
听听听 > have an introductory understanding of conflict resolution
Pre-requisites: No previous knowledge required.
Software requirements: Git and Bash are required for this workshop.
听听听 > For Windows, please follow the installation instructions
听听听 > For Mac and Linux users, you may already have Git and Bash installed. To check whether installation is necessary, follow the instructions
