This conference brings together some of the world’s leading experts to address the following topics:

• Recent developments in aviation liability and in aviation insurance
• Accident investigations, Annex 13 & criminalization of international aviation: the law of unintended consequences
• Recovery of non-economic damages
• Air cargo liability
• Liability for acts of unlawful interference: the new terrorism convention
• Surface damage caused by aircraft: updating the rome convention with a general risks convention
• Jurisdiction & forum non conveniens
• Liability of manufacturers of aircraft, engines & component parts
• Roundtable: the international liability regimes and their impact on airlines, manufacturers, insurers, claimants & (other) victims

As well as two simulations:

• A moot court presentation: appellate argument on Wallace v. Korean Air
• Mediation of complex aviation accident litigation
