Sunday, November 7, 6:00 pm — Opening Reception:
Welcoming address, including two inspiring young women. Hear how Skawenniio Barnes fought to open a library in her Mohawk community of Kahnawake and the challenges encountered by Mélissa Bilodeau, diagnosed with Morquio Syndrome, a very rare degenerative and incurable genetic disorder that affects bones' growth and body cells.

The 2004 Canadian Association of Paediatric Health Centres annual meeting is being co-hosted by the Montreal Children's Hospital and the Shriners Hospital — Canada.

The Canadian Association of Paediatric Health Centres (CAPHC) was established in 1968. Its mission is to improve health care for Canadian children and youth. CAPHC is a national not-for-profit organization whose members are multidisciplinary health professionals that provide care for children, youth and families within community, regional and tertiary/quaternary healthcare facilities, rehabilitation centres, community care access centres, and home care facilities nationwide. CAPHC is affiliated with the 16 Health Science Centres in Canada providing linkages to clinical care, education and research.
