Below are some of CaPS' major events scheduled for next semester.
Job Finding Club (January 18 to 29)
The premise of the CaPS Job Finding Club (JFC) is that finding employment is in itself a full-time job, which may be easier if done with a group of people. The JFC consists of a group of ten to fifteen graduating students, all of whom are seeking employment. You will have each other for support, with the assistance of a CaPS facilitator and the career advisors. It is a two-week program designed to teach you the most effective means of finding work in the field in which you want to be employed.
Work Your BA Career Weeks (January 25 to February 5)
CaPS is working with the Arts Undergraduate Society to organize over 10 events that will help students learn what career routes are possible with their BA. 成人VR视频 Arts alumni will speak about their career paths and give tips on how to get the job you鈥檇 love to have. There will also be workshops on topics like writing a CV, job search strategies and networking for Arts students.
Diversity Week - Working in Diverse Communities (February 8 to 10)
During this week you will have the opportunity to hear about the journey of several amazing individuals as they share their stories and fascinating experiences about working with members of diverse communities.
Green Week - Working in the Environment (March 2 to 4)
Your opportunity to meet people working in the environmental sector, including professionals, alumni, and labour market specialists. Learn about the issues and employment needs in this growing sector.
Grad Career Month (March)
Grad Career Month will focus on Research Careers Outside Academia. A series of panel discussions will showcase research careers in industry, NGO鈥檚 and government throughout the month of March 2010 at Thomson House.
