Creating University-Community Partnerships, Youth Mental Health: Building Resilience Interactive Conference
The Institute for Human Development and Well-Being held the Creating University-Community Partnerships, Youth Mental Health: Building Resilience Interactive Conference on Tuesday, November 22, 2012. The conference was co-hosted by the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology's Dr. Nancy Health, James 成人VR视频 Professor, and Dr. Elana Bloom, Coordinator, Centre of Excellence for Mental Health, Lester B. Pearson School Board.
This small interactive conference sought to create university-community partnerships around enhancing youth mental health.
Participants included representatives from universities, school boards, and numerous community organizations committed to developing collaborations in the area of youth mental health.聽 The membership was truly multi-disciplinary with participants from Education, Psychology, Psychiatry, Epidemiology, Medicine/Pediatrics, Nursing, Social Work, Counselling, Kinesiology from seven universities.聽 Community partners included members from five hospitals three major school boards, Big Brothers/ Big Sisters, Girls Action Foundation, DESTA Black Youth Network, and LaSalle Multicultural Research Center.
