Kathleen Winter: Richler Writer-in-Residence

Kathleen Winter, author of Annabel, will be the inaugural Mordecai Richler Writer-in-Residence in the Department of English at ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ in the winter semester 2012.
Annabel, published in 2010, was nominated for the Scotiabank Giller Prize, the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize, and the 2010 Governor General’s Awards. It was also shortlisted for the 2011 Orange Prize for Fiction.

Kathleen Winter will be teaching a course in creative writing in winter 2012. Students will be required to submit a portfolio in order to be considered for registration in the course.
