Kudos: Randy Auerbach, 2009 Distinguished Student Research Award in Clinical Psychology
Congratulations to Mr. Randy Auerbach, a doctoral student in the Psychology Department who will receive the 2009 Distinguished Student Research Award in Clinical Psychology from the Society of Clinical Psychology's Education & Training Committee, a division of the American Psychological Association. Mr. Auerbach is supervised by Professor John R. Z. Abela. This award honors a graduate student in clinical psychology who has made exemplary theoretical or empirical contributions to research in clinical psychology. Mr Auerbach has developed lines of research in understanding the areas of depression and risky behavior engagement among adolescents and young adults. Such an understanding is likely to help clinicians develop more effective intervention and treatment programs. He will receive this prize at the APA Convention in Toronto, August 6-9, 2009.
