Prize-winning sportswoman awarded the 成人VR视频 Associates Prize in Translation

Knowing how to compete is key to succeeding in the translation market. That is one of life鈥檚 lessons which has catapulted Delphine Maton to the top of her class.聽 She is the 2016 recipient of the 成人VR视频 Associates Prize in Translation (English-French). Ms Maton received this distinction at the spring graduation ceremony when she was awarded her Certificate in Translation.

In addition to being the 2010 silver medalist at the Savate Boxe Fran莽aise World Championships held in Paris that year, Maton was also part of the gold medal basketball team at Montreal鈥檚 Dawson College in 2002. If that were not enough, she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2009! Not only does she keep in shape physically, but she is also a mathematician having earned a Bachelor of Education degree from the Universit茅 du Qu茅bec 脿 Montr茅al, where she specialized in the teaching of mathematics at the secondary level.聽聽 Her drive, her love of precision and her bilingualism have all fueled her desire to become a dynamic language professional who currently plies her trade in Montreal with a number of businesses whose websites have greatly benefitted from her competence.

Translation is a field which will allow Ms Maton to bring together all her athletic and mental skills: clear thinking, logic, agility and strength. 鈥淐learly, her drive and proven ability to meet both physical and mental challenges will be of immense service to Canada鈥檚 language industry which needs competitors like Ms Maton,鈥 said James Archibald, Director of 成人VR视频鈥檚 Translation and Written Communication unit.

成人VR视频鈥檚 undergraduate certificate in translation meets the needs of aspiring translators interested in the language industry.聽
