Saying ‘au revoir’ to Old Chancellor Day Hall: The Faculty of Law is moving!
Old Chancellor Day Hall, the Faculty of Law’s most iconic building, is closing at the end of June for 16 months as we undertake much-needed renovations to upgrade the building’s heating, electrical systems, plumbing, windows and more, while respecting its historical features.
Faculty and staff who were in OCDH have been relocated either to New Chancellor Day Hall and 3674-3690 Peel Street, or to rented office space near ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ’s Roddick Gates at 2001 ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ College Avenue, suite 750.
The entire Dean’s office and staff, as well as the events team, are now located on the 6th floor of New Chancellor Day Hall, while the communications office has moved to the 5th floor.

As with any move, there is much to do, from packing up books, artwork and furniture, to relocating the mailroom, to updating all our directories. This major enterprise has required the hard work and dedication of many, for which we are extremely grateful. Special thanks are owed to the Faculty’s building director, Mrs. Margaret Baratta, who has orchestrated the multiple moves with utmost care, patience and good humour. No small feat!
We also wish to thank all our students, faculty and staff for their patience and help as we complete this temporary move. We all look forward to seeing our beloved Old Chancellor Day Hall renewed and refreshed.
