Tenure Track Positions in Human Development and School/Applied Child Psychology
The Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology (/edu-ecp/), Faculty of Education, 成人VR视频 invites applications for two tenure track positions: One in the Human Development program at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor and one in the School/Applied Child Psychology program, at the rank of Assistant Professor. The effective date for both positions is August 1, 2011.
The graduate program in Human Development encompasses both basic and applied research in all domains of Educational Psychology and places an emphasis on the diversity of learning, social, and emotional developmental trajectories.
The graduate program in School/Applied Child Psychology combines theoretical, research, and clinical experiences. It prepares graduates for the practice of professional psychology and academic occupations, and is based on the study of individual differences, learning and human performance potential, as well as psychopathology.
Human Development Position
The successful candidate will have an active agenda preferably in applied classroom research (including pre-school education) that spans typical and atypical development and will demonstrate the capacity to generate and fund research in the areas of applied human development, including but not limited to diverse learners, disability, developmental perspectives, or related areas. Applicants should (a) have an earned doctorate in Human Development or a related field; (b) demonstrate evidence of scholarship and research funding commensurate with rank; and (c) demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level and to graduate supervision.
School/Applied Child Psychology Position
The successful candidate will have an active program of research that is related to any area of child and/or youth functioning in typical or atypical populations. Applicants should have an earned doctorate in the field of School Psychology, Applied Child Psychology, or a related area, at the time of appointment; demonstrate evidence of scholarship and research funding commensurate with experience and performance at a research-intensive university. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels and supervise master鈥檚 and doctoral students.听 Being a member of the Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec or eligibility for membership () is a strong asset.
