Three 成人VR视频 seniors selected in CWHL draft

MONTREAL -- Three seniors from the 成人VR视频 Martlets were selected in the Canadian Women's Hockey League draft on July 18.

Goaltender Charline Labont of Boisbriand, Que., was taken in the first-round, fifth overall, by the Montreal Stars, while forward Ann-Sophie Bettez of Sept-Iles, Que., went in the second round, 10th overall, also to the Stars, and centre Jordanna Peroff of Keswick, Ont., was a fifth-round pick, 22nd overall, by the Toronto Furies.

Of the 61 players drafted, 15 were produced from CIS institutions, 24 were听 chosen from NCAA institutions and 22 came out of junior, midget and other leagues.

成人VR视频 and Alberta led all CIS institutions with three players apiece. Concordia and Moncton each had two players picked, followed by one apiece from Ottawa, Laurier, StFX, Toronto and Lethbridge.

Labont, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, is completing post-graduate studies in sports psychology after earning a physical education degree in December. A five-time all-Canadian who owns almost every 成人VR视频 goaltending record, she posted an incredible 160-17-3 record and 81 shutouts in 180 starts overall, with a stingy 0.98 goals against average and a stellar .948 save percentage.

Bettez, an alternate captain who received a BLG Award in April as the CIS female athlete on the year, finished second among Quebec conference leaders in both points (37) and assists (24) in 20 contests. The 5-foot-4 forward and 24-year-old marketing major is a two-time league MVP and was five-time all-Canadian. She graduated as 成人VR视频's all-time leader in goals (148), assists (175) and points (323) in 196 games overall.

Peroff, an alternate captain who graduated in 2011 with an arts degree in religious studies, returned for a fifth season and completed a certificate in leadership. In 194 career contests overall, she scored 139 points, including 57 markers.
