Two Desautels Alumni Pitch Successfully to Dragon鈥檚 Den

Published: 23 April 2010

Bajramovic (BCom 1999, MBA 2002) and business partner Oren Tessler (BSc 1998, MBA 2005, MDCM 2005) pitched their business plan - to market a mouse designed to reduce repetitive stress injuries - to investors on the reality show Dragons' Den. [...] Tessler and Bajramovic persuaded two of the five "Dragons" to invest $75,000 for a 15-per-cent stake in the business. Tessler and Bajramovic, both 35, say the strength of their patented design did all the talking. The AirMouse replaces the traditional mouse with a quasi-glove. Nearly 10 years in the making, the device straps to the user's wrist, thumb, index finger and middle finger, while a sensor on the palm, between the thumb and index finger, reads the hand's movements. The left and right click buttons are located under the tips of the index and middle fingers.
