Two law students get top CRDP essay contest prizes
The Faculty of Law is a happy to announce that recent graduate Christopher Campbell-Durufl茅, BCL/LLB'09 (on right), and student Seo Yun Yang (on left) have received the first two prizes from听 the Essay Contest organized by the Centre de recherche en droit public (CRDP) of the Universit茅 de Montr茅al.
Christopher Campbell-Durufl茅 received the first prize, a $3,000 bursary, for his essay titled "Only If 'je est un autre' Can I Recognise You: Reflections on Canada's Process of Constitutional Recognition of the 'Pre-existence of Distinctive Aboriginal Societies' "
Seo Yun Yang received the second prize, a 听$1,000 bursary, for her essay titled "University v. Student: Challenging the Contractual Understanding of Higher Education in Canada."
The prizes were awarded on September 30, 2009 at a ceremony at Universit茅 de Montr茅al. The winning essays are also to be published in the e-magazine.

About the contest
As part of an essay contest aiming to initiate undergraduate students to legal research, the Centre de recherche en droit public (CRDP) offers three prizes destined for students studying law at Universit茅 de Montr茅al, 成人VR视频 and Universit茅 Laval.
Students must submit an essay on one of the research orientations pursued by the CRDP, Law and new social relations, Law and information and communications technologies, or Law biotechnology and community.
