Update on negotiations with AMUSE (floor fellows)
The parties met on October 6 in the presence of the arbitrator appointed by the minist猫re du Travail. Most of the day was spent discussing the role of current floor fellows in the selection process of new floor fellows following an annual recruitment activity. The parties discussed at length their interests and objectives related to this process and in the end were able to agree on language that is satisfactory to both parties.
The parties also initiated discussions on the rules concerning the allocation of contracts to floor fellows and more particularly, to returning floor fellows. The ratio of residents per floor fellow was also discussed. The arbitrator asked the parties to prepare an outline of their interests and objectives related to the allocation of contracts to floor fellows for the next meeting, set for October 19.
