Welcome to our newest colleagues at the Faculty of Law
The Faculty of Law extends a warm welcome to the five new colleagues who will be joining us in September or later during this academic year.
Vincent Forray, a doctor of law and a ma卯tre de conf茅rences at the Universit茅 de Savoie, is joining us as an Assistant Professor (tenure track). The author of a remarkable thesis on consensualism in contract law, Forray will be teaching the basic course in Contractual Obligations. Furthermore, he created and directs Jurisprudence - Revue Critique in France.
Jennifer Langlais, who is completing her S.J.D. from Harvard Law School, is this year's Junior Boulton Fellow. Langlais, who is interested in critical theory, minorities and legal anthropology, holds a bachelor of law from Laval University, as well as a Magister Legis from Oxford, and an LL.M. from Harvard. Langlais has been the recipient of some of the most prestigious scholarships, such as a Trudeau Fellowship, SSHRC, Fulbright, Mackenzie King, and John P. Humphrey.
Mark Massoud is joining us as Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) for the next academic year from the University of California (Santa Cruz), where he is Assistant Professor of Politics and Legal Studies.听His research focuses on the institutionalization of law and human rights in conflict zones and authoritarian states, and includes extensive field work in Sudan.听Massoud will be teaching the basic course in Public International Law, and spending half of his time working with colleagues at 成人VR视频's Institute for Health and Social Policy.
In January 2012, we will welcome Professor Ruth Sefton-Green, of Universit茅 Paris 1 (Panth茅on-Sorbonne), where she obtained her doctorate in 1997.听 Sefton-Green is a comparativist and an expert in the law of obligations and European Law. She is an active member of the Common Core project of European Private Law. She听will be joining us as Senior Wainwright Fellow for a period of six months.
Finally, Professor Andrea Bjorklund, of the University of California (Davis) School of Law, will also be joining us for a year as Visiting Professor starting January 2012 in a visit funded through the L. Yves Fortier Chair in International Commercial Law and Arbitration.听Bjorklund is an expert in international arbitration and litigation, international trade and international investment, and her presence will enhance the Faculty's offerings and research activities in trade and arbitration.
