 s would be a thing of the past. But then 9/11 happened and\,\nas they say\
 , 'everything changed'.\nIn the post-9/11 world\, 'national security' beca
 me the\nwatchword\, and it soon became clear that walls and sophisticated
 \nnew\, hi-tech versions at that - were back with a vengeance. In\nfact\, 
 they were proliferating all around the world\, with over a\ndozen new wall
 s going up since the Berlin Wall came down.\nUp Against the Wall poses the
  questions: Do walls\, in\nfact\, work? What are the real costs both in fi
 nancial and human\nterms? How do walls affect people living on both sides?
  The film\nalso explores the themes of borders\, sovereignty\, migration a
 nd\nhuman rights.\n
