What is the importance of consumer health books?

Consumer health books are intended to be educational but that is not their only purpose. They can help people make informed decisions about their health and help improve people鈥檚 ability to manage their medical conditions.

The Neuro-Patient Resource Centre has a collection of consumer health books on many neurological disorders as well as general health topics.
