Nicolas Dickner originally hails from Rivière-du-Loup in eastern Quebec. After travelling in Latin America and Europe, he settled down in Quebec City before moving to Montreal, where he currently lives with his family. His debut novel, Nikolski, published in 2005, earned him the Prix des libraires du Québec, the Prix littéraire des collégiens and the Prix Anne-Hébert. It has been translated into close to a dozen languages. He followed this up with Tarmac (2009), which has also been translated for multiple international markets. In 2014, Nicolas teamed up with co-author Dominique Fortier to pen the format-defying ¸éé±¹´Ç±ô³Ü³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô²õ. Six degrés de liberté, his third novel, received the 2015 Governor General’s Literary Award for French Fiction.
