In continuation of the Office for Sexual Violence Response, Support and Education (OSVRSE) annual #Consent³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ Campaign and in collaboration with ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ's Queer History Month, this virtual webinar and panel discussion will be focused on encouraging consensual, respectful and healthyÌýways of engaging in interpersonal or sexual communications virtually.
As our world becomes increasingly reliant on digital connections to build relationships and break isolation, hear from students, researchers and community experts as they explore what it means to create an online presence, engage in consensual sexual connections through digital technologies, date, and build relationships virtually. Speakers will also touch on the very real topic of technology facilitated sexual violence and the impacts it can have on diverse communities and individuals, as well as explore notions of digital safety, online citizenship and digital civility.
One of the panelists will be Chris Dietzel, PhD candidate and research assistant on iMPACTS.ÌýChris will take an intersectional approach and discuss technology-facilitated sexual violence related to LGBTQ+ people’s use of dating apps, specifically against men who have sex with men and trans and gender diverse people.
