The Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences is聽pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Beatriz Ferraz dos Santos as the Director of the GPR Program at the Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital (MCH) site.聽She joined the Faculty in 2018 as Assistant Professor. Dr. dos Santos will oversee the General Residency Practice program at the Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital and the residents working at this site.聽
Dr. dos Santos obtained a DDS degree from S茫o Paulo State University in Brazil and completed a residency program in Public Health at the Federal University of S茫o Carlos. Following her residency, she pursued further training and obtained a Master鈥檚 degree in Pediatric Dentistry from S茫o Paulo State University.聽
Dr. Beatriz Ferraz dos Santos was also recently appointed by the Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital as Director of their Division of Dentistry. She has led several innovative clinical and educational initiatives at the MCH including the creation of the specialized clinic Tiny Teeth, Big Smiles, and the integration of virtual reality in pediatric dental care. Her main research interests lie in the field of pediatric dentistry, oral health care of children with complex health care needs, and oral health of marginalized populations.聽
