About the Social Economy Initiative (SEI)
The Social Economy Initiative (SEI) is an important vehicle through which 成人VR视频鈥檚 Desautels Faculty of Management integrates social entrepreneurship & social innovation more formally into its teaching, research and outreach activities.
The SEI is one of three thematic priorities of the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM). The two others are sustainability and health. The Institute鈥檚 mandate is to foster an integrated approach to management 鈥� one that breaks down disciplinary barriers, embraces multiple perspectives and encourages holistic, context-sensitive thinking about organizations and the economy through integrative research, teaching and outreach initiatives.

About Mary Gordon
Mary Gordon is recognized internationally as an award-winning social entrepreneur, educator, best-selling author, child advocate and parenting expert. In 2002, Gordon was named the first female Canadian Ashoka Fellow, recognizing her as a member of an international circle of social entrepreneurs who have the creativity that enables them to envision new and better ways to address persistent social problems and the entrepreneurial skill and determination required to bring their ideas to fruition. In 2011, Ms Gordon was named an Ashoka Globalizer, joining a select group of Ashoka Fellows supported in extending their message and impact to the global level.

Roots of Empathy is a pioneering, evidence-based classroom program that helps to reduce levels of aggression among schoolchildren, while raising social/emotional competence and increasing empathy.
