Co-LEAD Montreal: International Workshop on Collective Leadership to be held at Desautels May 1-3, 2018
Hosted by the Desautels Faculty of Management鈥檚 Suzanne Gagnon, the Co-LEAD Montreal workshop will bring 40 management and public administration scholars from Canada, the US, Europe, Israel, Australia and New Zealand to the Faculty from May 1-3, 2018.
The scholars will present, debate and discuss emerging research on new directions in leadership studies. The papers to be presented consider a variety of sites and contexts to study leadership as a collective, co-produced and multi-actor phenomenon (drawing on different theoretical traditions) that is increasingly important in practice, but still weakly understood given the field鈥檚 focus on individual characteristics. Representing the first time that the Co-LEAD network meets outside of the US and the greater internationalization of its participants, the workshop builds on three earlier workshops at the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
Along with Suzanne Gagnon, the Scientific Committee comprises Professors Ann Langley (HEC Montr茅al), Kathryn Quick (University of Minnesota), Viviane Sergi (ESG-UQAM), and Sonia Ospina (NYU Wagner School), co-founder of Co-LEAD Net with Erica G. Foldy (NYU Wagner School).
Keynote panel discussants include Professors Mary Uhl-Bien (Texas Christian University), Gail Fairhurst (University of Cincinnati), Graeme Currie (Warwick University), John Ronquillo (University of Colorado Denver), Ronit Kark (Bar-Ilan University), Barbara Simpson (University of Strathclyde), Brad Jackson (Griffith University, Australia), Ann Cunliffe (FGV-EAESP Brazil) and Barbara Crosby (Humphrey School of Public Affairs, U of Minnesota).
The workshop won Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada funding (Connections Program) and benefits from the support of institutional sponsors including 成人VR视频, HEC Montr茅al, U of Minnesota, NYU, U of Indiana, ESG-UQAM and the Open University.
