MBAs champion social entrepreneurship and compete for $1 million
A group of Desautels MBA students beat out over 40 teams and 10,000 applicants, including representatives from Harvard, MIT, and Yale, to win the 2013 Hult Prize Boston Regional Finals.
.
With this year鈥檚 challenge centered on the global food crisis in urban slums, the team鈥檚 business plan involves growing crickets into a viable food source.
This September, they will compete against five other regional finalists in New York for the grand prize of $1,000,000 in start-up funding.
To be competitive, the team must raise $260,000 to further their research and business model. This is an exceptional opportunity for our students and our Faculty to demonstrate our prowess on the world stage.
