鈥淧IVOT: Mobilizing online platforms to promote climate action in Canadian Small- and Medium-Size Enterprises (SMEs)鈥
In Canada, the dire impacts of climate change, such as forest fires, seasonal shifts, and flooding, are increasingly apparent. To safeguard our future, we must empower social actors to participate in decarbonizing Canada鈥檚 economy. One key sector is Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Canada鈥檚 1.2 million SMEs employ about 90% of Canada鈥檚 private sector workforce while emitting 200 million tons of carbon annually. Researchers at 成人VR视频 have established PIVOT, a partnership with media organizations and business networks, to motivate and inspire SMEs to act on climate change. As an action research project, PIVOT鈥檚 goal is to use social networks and peer support to accelerate the large-scale adoption of sustainable business practices throughout the country. The core of PIVOT is an online platform () that enables business owners to share their stories about climate actions, and discuss challenges and successes. PIVOT serves as a space for SMEs to inspire each other, connect, and build partnerships across Canada.
