The 2017 inductees into the ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ Sports Hall of Fame have been announced. Since the Hall’s inauguration in 1996, there have been 139 inductees named; this year’s slate of six includes two Desautels alumni.

Swimmer Lisa Virgini (BCom'00) has medalled at the Canadian National championships and the CIAU nationals, and swam for Canada at the 1997 short-course championships in Sweden. CBC/Radio-Canada CEO Hubert Lacroix (MBA’81) coached women’s basketball for almost a decade, turning the Martlets into a championship team and creating all-stars and all-Canadians in the process.
