Biography:
Professor Slive joined the Desautels Faculty of Management in 2026, bringing combined academic, industry and policy leadership experience. He has a PhD in Finance from the University of British Columbia and started his career on the Finance faculty at the HEC Montreal business school at the University of Montreal. Following that, he spent 15 years at the Bank of Canada, leading teams analyzing data, conducting research and developing policy around financial market platforms and infrastructures; financial stability, risk, and regulation; fintech; macroeconomics; and economic intelligence.
