In honour of Black History Month, D2R invites you to an interactive webinar on 鈥淎nti-Black Racism in Health Research.鈥 This session will explore the history of slavery in Canada, trace the evolution of anti-Black racism within Canadian health research, and highlight practices and strategies to address and counter these challenges.

Mariloue Daudier's headshotMariloue Daudier

Mariloue earned a Bachelor鈥檚 degree of Social Work from 成人VR视频 in 2013 and a Master鈥檚 degree of Social Innovation Management from HEC Montr茅al in 2016. She has over nine years of experience in coordinating equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) projects in many settings, including the social economy sector, community organizations, the private sector, the Government of Canada (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada) and universities (the Office of Community Engagement at Concordia University, the IVADO initiative at Universit茅 de Montr茅al and the General Secretariat at HEC Montr茅al). Involved in her community, she volunteers as the President of the Intercultural Council of the City of Longueuil and as a Board Member of Coalition Longueuil - 脡quipe Catherine Fournier, the elected party in her city. She is regularly invited as a speaker, facilitator, evaluator or trainer to share her expertise in EDI in different contexts.

Mariloue led various initiatives to empower Black communities in the past decade, including the co-development of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada鈥檚 2024-2029 Action Plan for Black Researcher, and the co-creation of funding opportunities for Black students at Universit茅 de Montr茅al through one of her previous volunteer roles as VP Philanthropy for the Caucus des employ茅es et employ茅s noirs de l鈥橴niversit茅 de Montr茅al. She is currently working on the implementation of a D2R Summer Internship Program for Black undergraduate students.
