Biography: 

Myung Hee Kim was born in Seoul, Korea. She started her university studies in French language and literature at Ewha Womans University and finished her Bachelor degree in Linguistics at University of Montréal, Canada, in 1985. She then continued her studies and obtained her Master's degree in 1988 at the same university. She worked until 1996 as a researcher at CoGenTex Inc., an automatic text generation research company (Artificial Intelligence). She has been teaching Korean language courses at ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ since 1991. She published ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ Korean 1 (Hawoo Publishing inc., Seoul) in 2017, her textbook for First Level Korean. She was awarded the Highest Standing Award of the National Institute for International Education (Korea) in 2017. She also translated and published two Québec (French Canadian) novels in Korean (Zmanz, Seoul) : Jeanne, fille de Roy – Suzanne Martel (2011) and Le libraire – Gérard Bessette (2012). She was awarded the Medal of Presidential Citation by the Korean government in 2015.
