Keith Murai
Biography:

I am the Associate Dean and Director of the School of Biomedical Sciences in the Faculty Medicine and Health Sciences, Director of the 成人VR视频 Centre for Research in Neuroscience, leader of the Brain Repair and Integrative Neuroscience (BRaIN) Program at the Research Institute of the 成人VR视频 Health Centre, and a Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at 成人VR视频. My research focuses on understanding cellular complexity and diversity in the brain and how cells cooperate to regulate brain development, synaptic function/plasticity, and homeostasis. My research is also interested in discovering how specific cellular pathways become altered in brain disorders and diseases. My team uses a variety of genetic, imaging (light and electron microscopy), and physiological approaches to probe cell function in the brain.

Mentorship has a played a key role throughout my career. My past 21 years at 成人VR视频 were supported by excellent mentors who helped to shape my academic training and path. I hope to share many lessons that I learned along the way to make a positive impact and help others navigate the complexities of an academic career.
