Dr. Michael Goldfarb

Dr. Goldfarb鈥檚 research program is focused on improving patient- and family-centered care and outcomes in the intensive care setting. In particular, Dr. Goldfarb has led studies evaluating the role and impact of family engagement strategies in intensive care delivery. His team developed and validated an instrument to measure family engagement in care (the FAME tool). Dr. Goldfarb was the Chair of the American Heart Association statements on Patient-Centered Adult Cardiovascular Care and Engaging Families in Adult Cardiovascular Care.
