- To curate and deploy digital health process innovations for screening and retention in care for HIV, HCV, COVID-19 self-testing and multiplex screening for multiple bacterial and viral infections with HIVSmart!, HCVSmart!, COVIDSmart CARE!, and AideSmart! programs.
- To create and deploy a greater use of product innovations, such as wearables, to monitor and improve sexual and reproductive health of young women and adolescents.
- To impact the evidence base with high quality meta-analyses to influence national and global policies in diagnostics and digital health.
- To expand on methodology for implementation research with rapid point-of-care diagnostics and integration of digital innovations with these technologies.
- Use machine learning to improve prediction of health outcomes with these innovations.
Projects:
- HIVSmart!: HIV Self-testing Program.聽A clinical trial that will evaluate the impact of a digital HIV self-testing program on access, retention, referrals, treatment, and prevention.
- Evidence Syntheses on Digital Strategies.聽A project funded by international organization to develop a compendium of evidence base for a greater uptake of digital strategies in the HIV/STBBI space.
- COVIDSmart CARE! Program.聽A device agnostic program and trial for COVID self-testing and home management of COVID-19.
- Multiplex AideSmart! Program.聽Two implementation studies that will expedite screening of co-morbid infections associated with HIV: Hepatitis C, syphilis, Human Papilloma Virus.
