During the week of November 8-11, several members from the Department of Family Medicine attended the annual Family Medicine Forum (FMF) conference hosted by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) at the Palais des Congr猫s de Montr茅al. Our clinician leaders were in attendance and participated in many professional development sessions and committee meetings throughout the week.

Our Postgraduate administrators also attended the Family Medicine National Education Administrators (FMNEA) conference held during FMF on November 7 and 8. This year鈥檚 edition of FMNEA was special as it marked the first time that the administrative conference was hosted by a University鈥檚 Department of Family Medicine and it was extra special as it happened to be our Department who hosted it. On November 7, we welcomed into our offices close to 60 Postgraduate administrators and managers from across Canada.

Our very own Sandra Fournier (Program Administrator for the Outcomes of Training Project) was a panelist for a talk titled 鈥淐QI- What is this beauty or beast?鈥 followed by a discussion. Ms. Fournier presented how we approach and integrate Continuous Quality Improvement in our administrator roles and responsibilities across our residency program. The FMNEA executive committee worked incredibly hard to organize this large conference which would not have been made possible without Alana Walsh-Ferland, FMNEA site representative for FMF 2023. Her work, dedication and organization that went into planning this conference has gone above and beyond!

During the conference, Ann Continelli (Jewish General Hospital Site Administrator) was nominated for the FMNEA Administrative Award of Excellence this year. Ms.聽Continelli's nomination was recognized by the FMNEA Executive Committee during an award ceremony on November 2 and her contribution towards our residency program was celebrated by the Postgraduate Education Committee.

On November 9, we participated in the conjoint event hosted by the CFPC with the four Departments of Family Medicine from across Quebec to promote our specialty to medical students. The event received over 100 attendees and our Postgraduate team, residents and staff were kept busy as the students arrived in waves to meet our teams and learn about the many reasons why they should be considering Family Medicine at 成人VR视频 in this year鈥檚 Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS match)!

Our Postgraduate team also participated in the exhibit hall during the conference and were on site to promote the 成人VR视频 Family Medicine residency program.

FMF proved once again to be a busy week filled with lots of surprises and opportunities to reconnect with our colleagues and hug our alumni. We are already looking forward to next year's event!
