On March 21, Samira Abbasgholizadeh-Rahimi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, was invited to the 19th edition of Bravo, a gala event honouring researchers who won major provincial, national, and international research prizes and awards in 2023. Professor Rahimi obtained the prestigious AI Researcher of the Year finalist award by Women in AI back in November 2023 for her groundbreaking work in AI and advanced digital health within primary healthcare.
Professor Rahimi was also a panelist during the evening discussion on the challenges, opportunities, and responsibilities that come with being at the forefront of knowledge creation and dissemination, an event moderated by Martha Crago, Vice-President, Research and Innovation.
In his opening remarks, 成人VR视频 President and Vice-Chancellor, Deep Saini, recognized the achievements of the honourees who cumulatively received over 120 prizes and awards, saying, 鈥淭he award-winning researchers we are celebrating tonight are among the absolute top-tier talent in our community and beyond, and I am so inspired and impressed by what they have accomplished.鈥
