Cervical cancer screening survey

Published: 27 January 2021

Dear Fellow ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ Faculty Members,

Dr Marion Dove was kind enough to allow me to write to you with a direct request for your involvement in an electronic survey on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on cervical cancer screening and management practices across Canada. The survey has received ethics approval by the ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ Institutional Review Board on October 27, 2020. We designed the survey with consultation from key stakeholders in the entire trajectory of care in cervical cancer screening at federal, provincial, and local levels.

The main objective of the survey is to obtain information that will assist strategies for improving the process of care and prioritize the resumption of critical steps in the process of cervical cancer screening, treatment, management, and follow-up. The survey results will also be used to inform epidemiological modeling work aimed at examining the long-term effects that will accrue on cervical cancer morbidity and mortality from the interruptions and delays in screening processes, such as sample taking, colposcopy deferrals, delays, cancellations, and any other changes in the screening pathway.

The survey should take a maximum of 20 minutes to complete, and your responses are entirely anonymous. Upon completion of the survey, you will have the opportunity to earn a $5 Starbucks gift card (but we will need your email to send you one).
