Global Health Career Readiness Workshop Series -- Session 3: Networking Event
³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ Global Health Programs is pleased to partner with ThriveHire to to offer a hands-on Career Readiness Program to help global and public health students learn tangible ways to translate their skills, experiences, and knowledge into job opportunities.
The program will entail three online sessions: two workshops (accompanied with materials and hands-on activities) covering various career topics, and a final networking event. Some of these include current hiring trends, different career pathways in global public health, practical and ethical considerations in career development, salary considerations, approaches to working locally and globally, and more. Students who attend all three sessions will receive a certificate of completion and enter a draw to win a free, professional CV review by ThriveHire!
- Workshop Session 1, Building your global health career is taking place on Thursday, October 7th from 12 pm-1:00 pm EDT.
- Workshop Session 2, Practical challenges and considerations for global health career development is taking place on Thursday, November 11th from 12 pm-1:00 pm EDT.
- Networking Event Session 3, will feature a moderated panel discussion with global health professionals from different work environments. This event will take place on Thursday, January 13th from 12:00 pm-1:30 pm. These individuals will speak about their career paths and lessons learned to date. This will be followed by a short Q&A session and break-out sessions where you’ll have the opportunity to directly meet and network with the speakers. At the end, the session will be left open for an additional 30 minutes to allow participants to network following the conclusion of the session.

- Gertrude Edna Omoro: Consultant at the WHO
