Biological and Biomedical Engineering - Biomanufacturing (M.Eng.)

Program Description

The Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) Biological and Biomedical Engineering (Non-Thesis) - Biomanufacturing offered by the Department of Bioengineering (Faculty of Engineering) and the Department of Biomedical Engineering (Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences) is a course-based program that emphasizes career-focused and hands-on learning opportunities. The program's objective is to equip students with skills in knowledge synthesis, resourceful thinking, and scientific communication to pursue professional opportunities (or potentially continue their studies).

  • Through hands-on coursework, projects, and internships students will gain advanced knowledge and competencies in the rapidly evolving fields of biological and biomedical engineering. Specifically, students will establish a solid foundation of competencies required for professional activities including agility, adaptability, teamwork, responsibility and life-long learning;
  • Faculty research expertise includes vector and expression system design, computational biology, biological products, including biopharmaceuticals, vaccines and cell and gene therapy products, delivery, biomolecular and cellular engineering, bioprocess engineering, process analytical technology and data sciences, process digitalization, systems and synthetic biology;聽The program's objective is to equip students with skills in knowledge synthesis, resourceful thinking, and scientific communication to pursue professional opportunities in the Bioprocessing and Manufacturing of Biologics sector (or potentially continue their studies).

  • An eligible Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.3聽GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
