Program Description

The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Jewish Studies (Non-Thesis) offered by the Department of Jewish Studies in the Faculty of Arts is a course-based program that emphasizes transformative and stimulating learning opportunities. The program's objective is to equip students with skills in literature review, information synthesis, and critical thinking to continue their studies or pursue professional opportunities.

Our expertise is wide-ranging and extends especially to modern Jewish history (globally); medieval Jewish philosophy and modern Jewish thought, Hebrew and Jewish literature, and contemporary North American Jewish life (including education and social activism);聽

University-Level Admission Requirements

  • An eligible Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
  • English-language proficiency
