Aalekhya Malladi completed her doctoral degree at Emory University in 2022. Aalekhya's research interests are interdisciplinary. She works with texts at the intersections of bhakti yoga and gender, and Telugu literature, while also conducting ethnographic fieldwork in pertinent devotional communities. She is fluent in spoken Telugu, Hindi, and French, and has training in reading classical Telugu and Sanskrit.
