Negotiation Update: AMUSE (Casual Employees)

Since June 30, 2021, the parties have met 4 times to discuss their respective monetary proposals. Discussions are progressing, and the parties have discussed monetary items such as:
- Stand-by premium
- Meal breaks
- Minimum rates and wage structure
- Wage rate progression
- Sick days eligibility criteria
- Vacation and length of service
- End of contract indemnity
- Pay for in-person work during university restricted access due to Covid
- Right to disconnect while working remotely
- Eligibility to benefits
- Duration of the collective agreement
The parties will continue to discuss monetary elements at the next scheduled meeting, scheduled for October 12, 2021.
