 formal classroom setting\, but how do you plan them and what are your resp
 onsibilities as a teacher? My name is Brian Swirsky and I have been a teac
 her and an administrator at John Rennie high school for the past 17 years.
  During that time\, I have organized and taken students on over 50 field t
 rips. These include local\, Provincial\, National\, and International trip
 s ranging from half day to two week long adventures and numbering anywhere
  from 10 students to 110 students...all of whom are your responsibility as
  a teacher. Being prepared and well organized is crucial\, as well as cris
 is management and trouble shooting\, but first\, you have to know how to p
 lan and get approval for your trip. All of these elements I have learned (
 some of them on the fly) and want to share with you because there can be n
