Andrea Bjorklund and Rosalie Jukier appointed as associate deans
The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Andrea K. Bjorklund has been appointed associate dean (graduate studies) for a three-year term, effective July 1, 2019, and Professor Rosalie Jukier has been appointed associate dean (academic) for a two-year term, effective September 1, 2019.
Professor Bjorklund is a full professor and the L. Yves Fortier Chair in International Arbitration and International Commercial Law. She was elected as a vice-president of the governing Executive Council of the American Society of International Law () in March 2019. She was also named one of 成人VR视频鈥檚 Norton Rose Fulbright Scholars in International Arbitration and International Commercial Law in 2017. In winter 2018, she was a Plumer Fellow at St. Anne鈥檚 College and a Visiting Fellow in the Law Faculty, University of Oxford. She will replace Professor Richard Gold, who is completing a four-year term as associate dean (graduate studies).
A full professor, Professor Jukier has been teaching at 成人VR视频鈥檚 Faculty of Law since 1985, where her teaching and research interests focus primarily in the areas of contractual obligations as well as judicial institutions and civil procedure. She is a three-time recipient of the John W. Durnford Teaching Excellence Award (2004, 2016, and 2018) and was awarded the in 2010. Professor Jukier served 成人VR视频 as dean of students from 1995-2001 and has served the Faculty of Law as associate dean of admissions (1991-1995), associate dean of strategic planning (2004-2005), and associate dean (graduate studies) (2010-2013). She will replace Professor Vrinda Narain, who is completing a three-year term as associate dean (academic).
