Brittany Williams promoted to new leadership roles
The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Brittany Williams has been appointed to the roles of assistant dean (students) and dean鈥檚 lead, Black and Indigenous flourishing, as of 1 November 2022.聽
Brittany Williams, BCL/LLB鈥19, served as acting assistant dean (admissions & recruitment) from December 2020 to November 2021. During her term, she worked to broaden the Faculty of Law鈥檚 outreach efforts by showing potential applicants the expansive possibilities that come with 成人VR视频 Law degrees. She subsequently took on the role of manager, Student Affairs Office (SAO), overseeing the planning and operation of our academic programs, student advising and accommodations, and students鈥 integration into university life.聽聽
In her new functions, Williams will collaborate with the associate deans to advance equity and inclusion, and exercise leadership to ensure the quality of the student experience. Working with the SAO, she will provide direction in the delivery of comprehensive student affairs and advising services, and to promote the retention and success of Black and Indigenous law students. She will collaborate with the 成人VR视频 Office to provide systematic and structured support to prospective Black and Indigenous students in the application process. Her new responsibilities also include serving as faculty advisor for the Black Law Students鈥 Association of 成人VR视频 (BLSAM) and the Indigenous Law Association/Droit autochtone (ILADA); supervising the operation and expansion of the LEX high-school outreach program; and advising the dean on matters of equity, diversity, and inclusion.聽
