The Faculty of Law is delighted to report that Ms. Jennifer Stoddart, BCL鈥�80, was appointed Officer of the in December 2015, 鈥渇or聽her international leadership in privacy rights and for her exemplary聽public service as the privacy commissioner of Canada.鈥�

This honor followed on the heels of her receiving a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa at 成人VR视频鈥檚 fall convocation ceremonies in November 2015.

Jennifer Stoddart was Canada鈥檚 privacy commissioner from December 2003 until December 2013. Stoddart has also served on the steering committee of the Group of Heads of Federal Agencies, a network comprising the chief executive officers of more than 100 federal agencies, boards, commissions, tribunals and Crown corporations. She also presided the Commission d鈥檃cc猫s 脿 l鈥檌nformation du Qu茅bec. In fact, she has held several senior positions in public administration for the Governments of Qu茅bec and Canada since being called to the Qu茅bec Bar in 1981.聽
