The Faculty of Law is pleased to share that Professor Andrea Bjorklund has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Vienna. As part of the celebrations, she delivered a Faculty Lecture at the University of Vienna titled 鈥淭he Resilience of International Law鈥� on June 24.

Jonathan Chan wins 2025 Durnford Teaching Excellence Award

Tina Piper appointed Acting Dean
We are pleased to announce that Associate Dean (Academic) Tina Piper has been appointed Acting Dean for the Faculty of Law, following the appointment of Justice Robert Leckey to the Superior Court of Quebec.
Dean Robert Leckey appointed a judge of the Superior Court of Quebec
With mixed feelings, the Faculty of Law extends its sincerest congratulations to the Hon. Robert Leckey on his appointment to the Superior Court of Quebec, District of Montreal. His appointment, effective immediately, was announced by the Honourable Arif Virani, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, on 27 January 2025. Justice Leckey replaces Justice Christian Immer, BCL鈥�91, LLB鈥�91, who has been elevated to the Court of Appeal of Quebec.
