What is NACLO?

If you're interested in language and enjoy problem-solving, come participate in theÌýNorth American Computational Linguistics Olympiad.ÌýÌýNACLO is a fun and educational contest Ìýfor students inÌýgrades 6-12Ìýin which you will solve linguistics problems from a variety of languages (natural and artificial). ÌýNo prior knowledge of linguistics or any particular language is required. ÌýAll you need to bring is your curiosity and enthusiasm!

The first round of the contest will take place on Thursday, January 28, from 10am to 1pm at ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵÌý(Sign in starting 9.15am; Room TBA). ÌýStudents who perform well on the first round will be invited back for a second invitational round, to take place on March 10. ÌýThe winners of the invitational round will be eligible to represent North America at theÌýInternational Olympiad.ÌýMore information about the OlympiadÌýcan be found atÌýat the officialÌý.

Registration Deadline: ÌýJanuary 14th (registration is recommended by then, but possible after)
