Title: The rapid decay property and graphs of groups.
Abstract: The rapid decay property for a discrete group gives a control on the operator norm of group ring elements. I will define this property and explain its stability for graphs of groups that are undistorted, a notion that I will also explain.
We will also have dinner on Monday with last Friday's speaker Damian Osajda, and a dinner on Wednesday with Indira. Please let us know if you would like to come for dinner on either of these days.
