Dr. Cecilia Costiniuk
Biography:
Dr. Cecilia Costiniuk is an Associate Professor of Medicine. Her first research aim focuses on the relationship between HIV infection, intrapulmonary inflammation and disrupted lung immunity. Her second research aim is to determine whether cannabinoid-based medicines can reduce chronic systemic inflammation and the HIV reservoir burden in people living with HIV. She supervises Honours students and graduate students in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology and clinical trainees during Chronic Viral Illness Service and Infectious Diseases rotations.
