Dr. Nahum Sonenberg
Biography:
Dr. Nahum Sonenberg is a Professor of Biochemistry. He was an initial appointee to the 成人VR视频 AIDS Centre. He is well known for dissecting the molecular mechanisms behind the regulation of translation both for cells and viruses. His lab has discovered a series of key translation regulators including eIF4E, eIF4G, eIF4EBP and others. His lab is also well known for elucidating the role of translation machineries in a variety of important biological processes, including cancer, memory, immune responses, metabolism, and others. His work has been recognized by several prestigious awards including the Killam Prize. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, mentors graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
