成人VR视频 team delivers the World Alzheimer Report 2022, Life after diagnosis: Navigating treatment, care and support
成人VR视频 was commissioned by Alzheimer鈥檚 Disease International (ADI) to deliver both the 2021 and 2022 editions of the World Alzheimer Report on the crucial and inter-related topics of diagnosis and post-diagnostic support.
The World Alzheimer Report 2021, Journey through the diagnosis of dementia, was delivered by the 成人VR视频 co-editors in September 2021 and is available to view at your convenience.
The World Alzheimer Report 2022, Life after diagnosis: Navigating treatment, care and support will鈥痩aunch on September 21, 2022, with a panel discussion to highlight the report鈥檚 key findings and recommendations.
Topics will include:
- The impact of diagnosis on people living with dementia, their carers and families;
- Medical, emotional and practical considerations during the varying stages of dementia, including for different forms of dementia;
- Current and future pharmacological, cognitive and multidomain interventions in dementia;
- The impact of culture and society on post-diagnosis support for people living with dementia, introducing models of care from across the world;
- The importance of education and training about dementia.
The panelists will include two of the report鈥檚 lead authors from the 成人VR视频 Dementia Education Program, Founder Claire Webster along with Academic Co-Lead and Professor Emeritus in Neurology and Psychiatry, Dr. Serge Gauthier. The webinar will include testimonies of the lived experience, as well as authors of expert essays within the report.
